1. Microphone
If you can't hear your comment, perhaps you need to check your computer's microphone. Here are some options for you:
- Conduct a skype test call. If you can skype, you can comment and hear your VoiceThread comment. In Skype, go to options, then click 'audio settings', and then click on 'test'.

2. External Webcam or Microphone
Be careful of using a usb-connected microphone/webcam simultanesously with a usb/wireless mouse. These may not be compatible, so try plugging the microphone usb in the jack on the back of the computer, further away from the mouse usb that is plugged in on the side.

3. Refresh your page
While you're working on your voicethread, be sure to save your work and refresh your page to see the current changes.

4. Embedding the VoiceThread code to your blog
On your blog page, in the edit function, you should have an option to link to a widget. Choose "other html" (or the equivalent for your program), and this gives you the window in which to paste the code for your VoiceThread.

Get the code to paste into the widget function from VoiceThread. If you are in 'edit' mode, you should see a button that says 'embed' near the bottom of the page. Click the embed button, and you can use VoiceThread's pre-programmed sharing to facebook, blogger and other programs. If your program isn't listed, just copy (it's a red button that says 'copy') the html code and paste it into the widget function on your blog. The VoiceThread tutorial makes this very clear:

5. Extra Costs
Some VoiceThread features are only available with a paid upgrade. But don't worry. We bet you can do just fine with the free account.

6. Images
You will need your files to be the way you want them before you upload them to VoiceThread. For images, use your favorite photo-altering tool (Paint, Jing, Photoshop, etc.) to crop, rotate, or edit your image.
